Podcast pundit Tom Edwards has recently discussed the future of West Ham United’s English forward Grady Diangana.

During the 2019/20 season, the 22-year-old winger spent the term on loan with West Bromwich Albion in the Championship and he bagged eight goals and six assists in 30 league appearances (per WhoScored).

However, a recent report by The Sun has stated that West Brom, Fulham, Ajax and Celtic have all been eyeing a move to sign the attacker permanently.

It was also stated in the report that Diangana is ‘reluctant’ to return to the Hammers without ‘guaranteed first-team football‘.

So, in the latest episode of the We Are West Ham Podcast, Edwards discussed the situation regarding the forward and aired his thoughts. (24:25)

To kick-off this quiz on David Moyes on the hard side, which club was his first game on the touchline at the London Stadium against?

He said: “I mean, for me, my main priority would be to keep him at the football club. He’s young, West Brom were on TV more than anyone else last season it seemed, I seemed to watch him every week – he was phenomenal.

“When he had confidence, he can drive off both feet. He’s such a clever passer of the ball, always picks the right pass. He scores goals. He’s getting bigger, stronger, more physical.

“He adds something different – a bit of flair, his unpredictability. I think he’d be a massive, massive loss and wherever he would go, we’d regret it massively.

“Should there be an outpouring of total anger if he was to go? Maybe not to an extreme for what he’s done thus far, but the player he [is] and the potential that’s in those boots – it would be so, so stupid to get rid of and I really hope we don’t.”

TIF Thoughts…

As can be seen in what Edwards had to say, he clearly believes that the Irons should not sell Diangana during the current summer transfer window.

Should West Ham keep hold of Grady Diangana at all costs this summer?

No, I'm not bothered

Yes, he's a good player

However, judging from The Sun’s report, if the winger is not given the assurances that he supposedly wants, it seems possible that he may be difficult to keep hold of with the four other clubs that are eyeing him.
