In-the-know West Ham man @ExWHUemployee has revealed an update regarding the Hammers’ vice-chairman Karren Brady.

The 51-year-old businesswoman currently has a column for British media outlet The Sun.

Brady hit the headlines earlier this year when she called for the Premier League season to be declared ‘null and void’ following its suspension due to the pandemic (via Football.london).

This then led to the West Ham executive twice having to clarify the comments which she made in her post for The Sun after they came ‘under fire‘.

In the latest episode of The West Ham Way podcast, @ExWHUemployee revealed that Brady had been asked to put an end to her column.

He said: “Karren Brady has been asked to drop her column from The Sun.

“The chairmen really want her to do that. I don’t think she’s made a decision yet as to whether she will or not, because she makes quite a lot of money from it.

“But I think, under the assumption that we stayed up, she would drop that column.

“Whether she’s actually finally agreed to do that, I don’t know, but maybe we will see from next season.”

TIF Thoughts…

As can be seen in what the in-the-know Irons man had to say, seemingly the West Ham hierarchy are keen for Brady to ditch her column.

Do you think Karren Brady should stop doing her column for The Sun?

No, it's not that bad

No, it's not that bad

Considering that her post regarding the Premier League season being declared ‘null and void’ led to ‘yet another headache for the Hammers‘, perhaps the news comes as no surprise.

As stated by Football.london at the time, it was ‘one of seemingly endless PR gaffes that have come from the vice-chairman’s column’.

Therefore, perhaps it may be best if Brady does step away from doing her posts for The Sun.
