In-the-know podcast pundit @ExWHUemployee has provided an update on West Ham United’s interest in signing Queens Park Rangers’ Eberechi Eze.

As reported by football.london earlier this month, David Moyes’ outfit is ‘locked in a battle’ with Crystal Palace this summer to sign the Championship forward.

However, it has been reported by The Sun that the Eagles will ‘miss out’ on the attacker as they are not willing to meet QPR’s £20m valuation.

So, in the latest episode of The West Ham Way Podcast, @ExWHUemployee provided an update on the latest regarding West Ham’s interest in Eze.

To kick-off this quiz on David Moyes on the hard side, which club was his first game on the touchline at the London Stadium against?

He said: “[QPR] have to sell Eze soon because they’re in financial trouble. He’s only got a year [left on his] contract – QPR need to sell him now.

“Crystal Palace are interested, but Crystal Palace don’t want to go to the fee that QPR want.

“We do really want Eze, I do think that he will want to come to us or Palace because they’re London clubs.

“You know, I think that’ll be a big appeal to him. Now, [David] Moyes does want him.”

TIF Thoughts…

As can be seen in what the podcast pundit had to say, it is clear that Eze is still a target for the Hammers and it also appears that the R’s need to sell the player this summer.

If Moyes’ outfit can secure the signing of the 22-year-old attacker, his statistics from the most recent season would suggest that West Ham would be getting an impressive talent.

During the 2019/20 Championship season, Eze bagged 14 goals and eight assists in 46 appearances which earned him a stellar average rating of 7.36/10 (per WhoScored).

So, it is abundantly clear that young forward is an exciting prospect.
