Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to a post from the club’s official Twitter account regarding Juan Foyth’s assist in the 3-0 friendly win against Ipswich Town. 

Spurs faced the League One side in a friendly on Saturday and ran out comfortable 3-0 winners after a goal from Ryan Sessegnon and a brace from Heung-Min Son. The South Korean’s second goal came courtesy of a wonderful through ball from Foyth, who was playing alongside Toby Alderweireld in central defence in the first half (per Tottenham Hotspur).

The Argentinian defender has been linked with a move away from the Lilywhites this summer, with Leeds United one of the teams credited with an interest in the 22-year-old, who struggled for game time last season, making just one start in the Premier League all season (per WhoScored).

Despite his impressive assist, lots of Spurs fans seemed less than happy with the club’s post singing Foyth’s praises, presumably as it came against League One opposition.

Overall, it seems as if the majority of Spurs fans were less than impressed with the club’s post which is perhaps unfair, as regardless of the opposition, it was a nice assist from Foyth.
