On the latest episode of the Last Word On Spurs podcast, Ricky Sacks, Jamie Brown and Sky Sports’ Lyall Thomas have been discussing the summer transfer window and some of the deals that the north London club could do ahead of next season.

One topic of discussion on the recent episode, which was titled ‘Summer Transfer Window (Ft. Lyall Thomas)‘, was Spurs’ recent signing of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. The Danish international became Spurs’ first senior signing of the summer last week, following the signing of 16-year-old Alfie Devine from Wigan Athletic, and it seems as if Thomas is excited about the impact he could have in Jose Mourinho’s side.

Which player scored Spurs' first goal of the Premier League campaign?

Here’s what the Sky Sports man had to say about the signing of the former Southampton ace:

“We’ve obviously seen that he’s been a priority because it’s the first thing that they’ve gone and done and personally, £15m plus bonuses, I think it’s a steal for a player of his age and his experience already. He’s the ideal profile for the position that they want, so I think all the ducks lined up in a row for this one and it’s a good piece of business early in the window.”

TIF Thoughts…

Thomas certainly seems to be impressed by the signing of Hojbjerg and seems unsurprised that Spurs were able to get him done so early in the window as he suggests that he was very much the priority for the Lilywhites.

Hopefully, for Spurs fans, the 24-year-old will be able to impress with his new side next season and show exactly why Mourinho was seemingly so keen to bring him in.
