Image for Tottenham Hotspur: Fans react to club tweet sharing images of Lamela and Lo Celso

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to a tweet that was recently posted by the club’s official Twitter account which shares a couple of images of Erik Lamela and Giovani Lo Celso playing football on the beach.

Spurs’ 2019/20 season came to an end on 26th July when they secured themselves a sixth-placed finish in England’s top-flight on the final day of the season.

Tottenham’s official Twitter account recently posted a tweet sharing a couple of images of the two Argentines enjoying the game of football in a more relaxed setting than they are perhaps used to, as they appear to be playing some football on the beach while enjoying their break before pre-season for the 2020/21 campaign begins later this month

This post caught the attention of plenty of Spurs fans.

A lot of the Tottenham supporters who replied to this post decided to talk about another Argentinian in Paulo Dybala – a player the Lilywhites were linked with a move for last summer and who Serie A side Juventus are reportedly considering selling this summer, as per La Gazzetta dello Sport

Meanwhile, some Spurs fans opted to discuss Lamela’s future in response to this tweet, with one particular Tottenham supporter stating that Spurs’ official Twitter account is posting about Lamela as an advertisement for another club to sign him, while another fan simply called for the club to sell the 28-year-old attacker.

Do you think that this is a sign that Spurs will sign Dybala?

Considering that Spurs were linked with a move for Dybala last summer and reports have recently claimed that Juventus are ‘willing to part’ with the player, it mightn’t be too surprising that plenty of Tottenham fans have opted to talk about the £64.8m-rated attacker in response to this post, especially as this tweet features images of two of his compatriots who currently play for the north London club.

According to WhoScored, Dybala earned the ninth-highest average match rating (7.44/10) of any player to have made more than the average number of appearances in Italy’s top flight last season – and with that in mind, it might be understandable why Spurs fans may be excited about the idea of him joining their club.
