Fans of Tottenham Hotspur have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that Spurs have rejected an approach from Juventus for Giovani Lo Celso.

According to recent reports by Calciomercato, the Serie A side, who are said to have been tracking Lo Celso for a number of years, were met with a hard no from Spurs following their approach for the 24-year-old as he is one of Jose Mourinho’s ‘non-transferable’ players.

Having only joined Spurs from Real Betis last summer, originally on a loan deal before Tottenham made the move a permanent one in January, Lo Celso went on to make 28 Premier League appearances for the North London side last season, scoring no goals and providing two assists, averaging a WhoScored match rating of 6.62 – ranking him as the club’s 18th best performer in the league.

However, the midfielder performed much more impressively in Tottenham’s Champions League campaign, scoring one goal over his five appearances in the competition, averaging a match rating of 7.31.

It would appear that these performances have gone down well with Spurs fans, as many of them made their feelings clear about wanting to keep Lo Celso at the club.

So, all in all, while it would appear that the interest from Pirlo’s side has actually pleased some of these fans, the overwhelming consensus is that Spurs fans would very much like Lo Celso to remain a Tottenham player beyond the end of the summer transfer window.
