Supporters of Tottenham Hotspur have been fuming over quotes made by Jose Mourinho which were relayed to social media by the club.
On Monday morning, the North London club posted quotes from their Portuguese gaffer in which he discussed Gedson Fernandes (per Tottenham Hotspur).
Mourinho said: “Gedson played right-back for the first time and he was really, really good. In the first half we had some very good combinations.”
The game which the former Manchester United manager was discussing was the 3-0 victory over Ipswich Town on Saturday (per Tottenham Hotspur).
However, after the quotes were relayed to social media, The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium faithful were calling for the club to sign a proper right-back.
"Gedson played right-back for the first time and he was really, really good. In the first half we had some very good combinations."

Following reports that Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan are eyeing a summer transfer swoop for Serge Aurier (per Sky Sports), the Ivorian did not feature against the Tractor Boys.
If Aurier was to leave Spurs this summer, then that would leave Mourinho without a senior right-back in his first-team squad (per Transfermarkt).
Do Spurs need to sign a new right-back this summer?
No, I don't think so
Yes, we really do
This is the first hint that we aren’t buying a right back….

We still need to sign a Right-Back if Aurier leaves.,

During the 2019/20 Premier League season, Fernandes, who is predominantly a right-sided attacker, only made an average of 0.3 tackles and 0.1 interceptions per match over his seven appearances (per WhoScored).
These are far lower figures than what Aurier achieved, as the Ivorian managed 2.8 tackles and 1.4 interceptions.
Ok but announce someone

As can be seen in these responses from Spurs fans, they are clearly desperate for the club to sign a new right-back this summer.
