Talking the Blues podcast host ‘Paul The Esk’ has been discussing the recently reported frustrations of Everton’s Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti.

As reported by the Daily Star, supposedly the former Real Madrid and Bayern Munich manager is ‘growing frustrated’ with ‘Goodison Park chiefs’.

That is apparently due to the fact that the Toffees have missed out on ‘key targets‘ in the transfer window – with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Gabriel Magalhaes both given as examples.

So, in the latest episode of the Talking the Blues podcast, the podcast’s host discussed the recent report and aired his thoughts on it.

To kick-off this quiz on Carlo Ancelotti on the side of easy, which side was his first game on the touchline at Goodison Park against?

He said: “Unless there is, and I don’t know that there is, but unless there has been an enormous breakdown, unless we are not doing the things we said we would do, unless promises have been broken – I can’t see a man like Ancelotti feeling any different about the position now than he would have done at the end of last season.

“He would’ve known immediately what the difficulties were. Obviously, he would have hoped for the best outcome but it hasn’t happened yet.

“Whether it will happen or not, I don’t know, but what I do know is that it’s an extremely difficult market and we are in an extremely vulnerable position within that market.

“Everybody knows that. It’s no secret how many players we want to get rid of. It’s no secret who the players are that we want to get rid of. It’s no secret where we need to buy players to plug the gaps within the team.”

TIF Thoughts…

As can be seen in what the podcast host had to say, it seems that he believes, unless promises have been broken, there is no need to panic as he “can’t see” the Toffees’ manager “feeling any different”.

However, with a ‘Toffees insider’ having stated that “there could be chaos here” in the Daily Star’s report after Ancelotti was left ‘infuriated’ over the lack of transfer funds – it will be interesting to see if the story develops any further.
