Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been discussing the possibility of signing Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek.  

This comes after Spurs journalist Ricky Sacks shared a post on his official Twitter page relaying news originally shared in a recent article from Sky Sports.

The article claims that Van de Beek is “awaiting offers from Premier League clubs as he remains likely to leave” Ajax this summer.

Back in May, Ajax chief executive Edwin van der Sar revealed that Van de Beek would be allowed to leave Ajax this summer only if a “suitable fee” is offered to the Dutch club for his services.

This new post from Sacks then gathered a lot of replies from Spurs fans who were quick to share their thoughts on a potential swoop for the Dutchman this summer.

The 23-year-old, who is currently valued at £39.6 million, made his senior debut at Ajax back in November 2015.

Since then, the midfielder has gone on to make a total of 175 appearances for the club in which he has scored 41 goals and provided 34 assists along the way.
