How well do you remember Heung-Min Son's time with Spurs? - The Lilywhites signed Son from which Bundesliga side?

This video included Gold talking about every position that Spurs will be looking to strengthen in this transfer window and the journalist also provided his view on players that have been linked with a move to Jose Mourinho’s side.

One such player that Gold mentioned during this YouTube video was Queens Park Rangers attacker Eberechi Eze, who has been linked with a move to Spurs.

This was what Gold had to say on the 22-year-old when discussing possible attacking reinforcements.

“I think Spurs will be looking for versatile players that can play in attacking midfield and out on the wing, so someone like Ebere Eze [from] QPR makes sense.

“Luke Amos looks to be on his way, and I am sure QPR would like to keep him, so do you include Amos in a deal for Eze?

“But, then can you bring him in and play him straight away? Again homegrown, so ticks that box massively, but is he going to get straight into the starting XI? Perhaps not.”

So, it seems as if Gold believes that a move for Eze would be sensible, but he is not convinced that he would get into Spurs’ starting XI.

Would you want to sign Eze?

TIF Thoughts…

The 22-year-old, who is valued at £8.1m by Transfermarkt, had a stellar season for QPR as he earned a 7.36 rating for his league performances in which he scored 14 goals and provided eight assists as QPR finished in 13th place in the Championship.

So, he was undoubtedly his side’s standout player (per WhoScored) and proved that he was versatile as he played in four different positions for Mark Warburton’s side. (per Transfermarkt)

However, he has been linked with moves to Newcastle United, West Ham United and Crystal Palace where you would think he might get more game time.

So, this could all come down to how much game time Eze is going to get, as suggested by Gold.

It will be intriguing to see where Eze ends up by the end of the transfer window.
