Journalist Alasdair Gold believes that Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur will secure more transfers in the summer window.

Gold was recently talking about the north London club in the latest video on his Youtube channel. Spurs’ transfer targets and their transfer strategy in the summer window was the main focus, as the journalist revealed that the club will make some more moves in the transfer market.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has already joined the club from Southampton. Mourinho’s men have also been linked with a move for Inter defender Milan Skriniar and have drawn links with the likes of Leon Bailey.

When talking about the club’s operations in the window, Gold reassured fans that Tottenham are not finished when it comes to transfer activity this summer.

Speaking prior to the confirmation of Hojbjerg’s deal, he said: “I know people get frustrated when I write stuff and sometimes it is slightly downbeat about what will happen in a scenario and they’re like, ‘Mr. Doom’ or something, ‘doom-monger’ and all that – but ultimately, that’s what it’s about.

Are you confident that Spurs will sign more players this summer?

Yes, we will

Yes, we will

I'm not confident at all

I'm not confident at all

“I do talk to a lot of people within the club and other clubs, and agents, scouts, things like that. Ultimately, Spurs will do transfers, don’t worry, that will happen. We’re about to see one get over the line. And there will be more.”

 TIF Thoughts…

This is a pretty positive update from Gold and it would surely encourage many Spurs fans.

The club finished sixth in the Premier League in the 2019/20 season and there was a seven-point gap between them and fourth-placed Chelsea and third-placed Manchester United.

So Mourinho’s next task is to bridge that gap and ensure that Spurs get back to playing in the Champions League once again. To do that, they would likely have to fix the problems in the squad. Sky Sports have reported that Spurs are looking to sign a back-up striker, a right-back and a centre-back this summer, so these are pretty promising signs and Spurs fans should look forward to the days and weeks ahead in this transfer window.
