Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to their club’s reported interest in RB Leipzig midfielder Marcel Sabitzer.
According to journalist Alex Crook on TalkSPORT (via Daily Hotspur), the north London club are looking to complete a move for the Austria international this summer. The 26-year-old was hugely impressive in Die Roten Bullen’s most recent Bundesliga campaign, contributing nine goals and seven assists in 32 top-flight appearances, which saw him average a superb 7.24/10 rating (per WhoScored).
The versatile midfielder was also key in Julian Nagelsmann’s side’s win against Atletico Madrid in the recent Champions League quarter-final, contributing an assist in the 2-1 win, which saw him earn a 7.73 rating (per WhoScored). It is perhaps unsurprising to hear that the Lilywhites may be taking an interest in the £31.5 million-rated man, with Leipzig’s impressive performances against Spurs earlier in the Champions League campaign, as they cruised through to the quarter-finals with a 4-0 aggregate victory against Jose Mourinho’s side, a fairly recent memory.

Some Spurs fans seem to think that if Sabitzer does arrive, it would spell the end for Tanguy Ndombele at the club.
Well that would definitely spell the end of Ndombele

If there’s an ounce of truth to this it’s goodbye Ndombele
