A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a post from Andy Ridgwell, who is a former deputy sports editor and has made a transfer claim on Adam Armstrong.
He claims that the Toon are in negotiations with Blackburn Rovers for the return of the 23-year-old, and he will cost in the region of £10m because Newcastle did not include a buy-back clause.
This has drawn the attention of some Toon fans who do not want this to be true.
Would you be happy if Newcastle signed Armstrong?
Yes, he deserves a chance in the PL
No, we can do better
This isn’t real! Please wake me up from this bad dream. Our club is in the mire??

Armstrong first joined Blackburn on loan from the Toon in January 2018. That loan spell lasted until the end of May 2018 and he subsequently moved to Ewood Park on a permanent deal in August of that year. He has scored 35 goals for Tony Mowbray’s side in 117 games, and he has played 76 of those as a winger and not as a striker.
Last season, Armstrong scored 16 league goals and was named as Blackburn’s Player of the Year, so it may be understandable why some other Toon fans like the idea of him returning to St. James’ Park.

While he was with the Toon, Armstrong managed 21 senior appearances for Newcastle but failed to score a senior goal. However, he has grown at Blackburn, and if Ridgwell is right, then he could be on his way back to Tyneside for £10m.
However, it is clear that many Newcastle fans are not keen on this idea, but others would be happy to see the West Denton-born forward return.
The Toon have reportedly told Yoshinori Muto to find a new club, and Dwight Gayle has suffered a potentially serious knee injury, so you would think that any forward they can get would help Steve Bruce.
It will be interesting to see if Newcastle do sign Armstrong or not.
