A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a post from Football Daily that contains a video from Sky Sports News.
In the video, the presenter reads out a statement on behalf of the Reuben brothers after they were part of the consortium that pulled out of a deal to buy the Toon on 30th July.
The statement, via Martin Cruddace, confirms that the Reuben brothers are ‘very disappointed‘ that the takeover bid has been withdrawn and that they had many plans for the North East and that they would ‘welcome any resurrection of talks‘ and that they are ‘totally supportive‘ of the deal should there be a way forward.
Are you happy to see that the Reubens are committed to the takeover?
Yes, the deal could be saved
No, time to move on
This drew the attention of these Toon fans who are happy to hear this.
It’s going to be resurrected what’s our thoughts

Massive statement of intent for investment into the area. This is about more than just the club. This takeover will likely improve lives all over the North East. #NUFC#ApproveTheSale https://t.co/c6t8RhJEZM

This follows on from Amanda Staveley’s husband, Mehrdad Ghodoussi, claiming that all three parties of the deal would still be keen to pursue the purchase of Newcastle United.
It has also been revealed by the Chronicle that PIF are also still keen on buying the Toon, but they want to see some progress from the Premier League.
The pressure appears to be building on the PL as now all three parties involved in the deal have indicated they are committed to still buying Newcastle but that the league must change their attitude.
This post made one Toon fan sad because of the potential investment in the North East.
Here’s what you could have won ?

Newcastle fans have also started a petition demanding an independent investigation into what made this deal collapse.
Despite all of this, though, the PL have said nothing, apart from a slight indication of their feelings in a piece by Matt Slater, so it will be interesting to see if they respond in any way.
For now, though, these Toon fans are just happy to see that the Reuben brothers are still committed to the takeover.
