Newcastle United news Twitter account @NUFC360 caught the attention of some Toon fans after they posted a tweet sharing that Newcastle United are allegedly ‘ready to make a substantial offer’ for Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey.
This news originally surfaced via TuttoJuve. The Juventus-focused website recently published a report claiming that the Toon are prepared to offer the ex-Arsenal man an identical contract to the one he has got at the Serie A side ‘with rich bonuses.’
Furthermore, this report from TuttoJuve also claims that the North East club would be willing to offer the reigning Serie A champions a transfer fee of €20m (£17.95m) for the Wales international.
After this alleged news was shared by @NUFC360 via a tweet, some Toon fans replied to their post to share their thoughts on this claim.

It’s not surprising that some Newcastle United fans shared that they don’t think that the Toon will pay Ramsey’s wages, considering that the player reportedly earns £400k-a-week at Juventus and the Toon’s average first-team wage was £40,120 per week for the 2019/20 season according to Sporting Intelligence’s 2019 Global Sports Salaries Survey, via ChronicleLive.
With that in mind, we feel that this transfer is unlikely to happen.
