Fans of Crystal Palace have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that the club ‘see no reason’ to increase their original offer for Queens Park Rangers attacking midfielder, Eberechi Eze.

According to reports by West London Sport, Palace are aware that their offer of £12 million, which was rejected by QPR, is the only offer on the table at present, leaving them to believe that there is no need to increase their bid.

It is said that QPR are hoping another club – West Ham are also said to be keen on the 22-year-old – come in for Eze, in order to create a ‘bidding war‘ and take his price to nearer the £20 million the West Londoners would like for their player.

After news of Crystal Palace’s stubbornness was relayed on Twitter by Palace Xtra, fans of the club flocked to have their say on the matter, with many suggesting that they expect their club to miss out on the player to their East London rivals.

It is not hard to see why both Palace and West Ham are interested in Eze, as the 22-year-old was in remarkable form last season.

Over his 46 Championship appearances, Eze scored 14 goals and provided 8 assists, directly contributing to 32% of QPR’s goals in the league, as well as averaging a highly impressive WhoScored match rating of 7.36 – ranking him as the club’s best performer.

As such, it is also not surprising to see that many of the Palace fans want their club to do all they can to get the signing of the £8.1 million-rated man done before anyone else can swoop in.

We tend to agree with these Palace fans, in that a player of Eze’s quality is probably worth paying a few extra million for to ensure that he doesn’t end up joining one of their Premier League rivals.
