According to recent reports, Crystal Palace have held ‘further talks’ with Queens Park Rangers regarding their attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze, who is also a target of Newcastle United and Leeds United.

A report by The Daily Mail states that the south London side had a bid rejected of £12 million for the 22-year-old, with QPR hoping for a figure closer to £20 million, while it is thought that Hoops boss Mark Warburton will be ‘desperate’ to keep hold of the player.

Can you score 20/20 on this Premier League quiz? Starting off easy, who is the top scorer in the Premier League this season?

And it is not hard to see why, as Eze enjoyed a remarkable season in the Championship last term, scoring 14 goals and providing eight assists over his 46 league appearances, averaging a highly impressive WhoScored match rating of 7.36/10 – ranking him as the club’s best performer by quite a considerable distance.

This fine form saw the England U21 international’s value rocket to £8.1 million, as well as attracting other Premier League interest from clubs such as Newcastle and Leeds United.

TIF Thoughts…

With Wilfried Zaha being linked with a move away from south London once again this summer, in addition to the fact that Palace manager Roy Hodgson has said that the 27-year-old has told him he wants to leave the club, it would seem that Eze could be considered a replacement for the wantaway winger.

Would you be happy to see Palace sign Eze for £20 million this summer?

And by scoring seven goals and providing two assists from the left side last season, as well as notching one goal and one assist from the opposite flank, it would appear that the midfielder is adept at operating from either wing, as well as through the middle, something which would be incredibly useful for Hodgson, with or without Zaha at the club.
