Aston Villa vlogger Max Stokes has been talking about a potential transfer move for Norwich City winger Emiliano Buendia which he ‘can see happening’ this summer.
This comes after Stokes recently made a video for his Villa-themed YouTube channel where he spoke about a number of possible incoming transfers the Birmingham club could make this summer.
When talking about some potential wingers that Villa could be looking to sign this summer, one name that came up was Buendia, who Stokes shared his thoughts on.
He said: “A winger that I really can see happening is Emiliano Buendia. I think typically he is a creative midfielder, but he can also play on the wings, which I quite like. I think we need players who are a little bit more versatile like Buendia.
“I think £20 million is the figure, obviously he went down with Norwich last season, but his stats were ridiculous in terms of chances created etc, classic stats like that, they were really, really good and for a side like Norwich who got battered pretty much every single week and had pretty much none of the ball every game, that is really impressive.”
The Argentine, who is currently valued at £13.05 million, signed to Norwich back in the 2018 summer transfer window from Spanish side Getafe for a fee of just £1.35 million.
Since then, the 23-year-old has gone on to make a total of 80 appearances for the Canaries in which he has managed to score nine goals and provide 25 assists along the way.
The 2019/20 Premier League season saw Buendia in hot form for Norwich having earned himself a season rating of 7.08/10 for his performances in the 36 league appearances he made for Daniel Farke’s side throughout the campaign.
This season rating made him Norwich’s highest-rated player for their campaign which ultimately ended with them being relegated to the Championship.

Looking at his season rating for the previous season, it’s clear that Buendia was the standout performer for Norwich. It will be intriguing to see if Villa decide to make a move for the winger and bring him to Villa Park to see if he can recreate his good form during the 2019/20 season for the Villans next year.
