Many Celtic fans have been talking about the latest transfer news update involving Kristoffer Ajer that emerged on social media recently.
Gianluca Di Marzio recently reported that AC Milan have made contact with the agent of Ajer and they want to sign the central defender this summer, even though Dayot Upamecano remains their ‘dream’. The report claims that if they want to sign Ajer, they might have to face competition from many Premier League teams.
This information about the defender was relayed on Twitter by the Daily Record recently. This caught the attention of many Celtic fans and they made their opinion very clear.

Another Celtic fan seemed more concerned about what Ajer’s sale could mean for the Hoops and how they could invest the money.

If it happens do we reinvest the cash on bringing Forster & another CB into replace him? ?

Clearly, there seems to be a variety of opinions about Ajer and his future at Parkhead. The Norwegian has been linked with a move to Milan in the past as well, but the report from Calciomercato had also talked about interest from Leicester City and Paris Saint-Germain as well.
Ajer was a crucial player for the Hoops in the 2019/20 campaign. He made 49 appearances in all competitions for the club, playing 28 Premiership games. Apart from playing at centre-back, Ajer also played at right-back sometimes and it shows that he is a reliable and versatile player for the Bhoys (via Transfermarkt).
Keeping an important player like him at Parkhead could prove crucial to Celtic next season, when it comes to their hunt for a 10th Premiership title in a row. So not selling him may be a wise option for the Hoops.
