Many Celtic fans have been talking about the latest comments that Frank McAvennie has made about the situation of Hoops star Odsonne Edouard.
McAvennie was recently talking to Football Insider in an interview and claimed that Edouard doesn’t look like he wants to be at Parkhead and looked a ‘bit disinterested’ in Celtic’s recent pre-season friendlies.
A tweet about this was relayed by The Scottish Sun recently. In response, these Celtic fans aren’t happy at all with what McAvennie had to say, with one fan suggesting that he’s made a snap judgment from a pre-season friendly. Another fan criticises the Scottish Sun for relaying a tweet on his comments.
Strong accusation made off the back of a couple of pre-season games.

Does Edouard look disinterested to you?
Yes, he looks disinterested
No, he wants to stay
McAvennie gets paid based on the amount of hits the website gain. Ofcourse he’s gonna spout nonsense.

Who actually cares what this moronic chancer has to say?

Some other Celtic fans were also not pleased about McAvennie and his opinion about Edouard, with one particular fan seeming annoyed that former Celtic players are causing trouble, with another laughing at the fact that the tweet referred to McAvennie as a ‘Hoops legend’.

As for Edouard, it might be tough to judge his thinking process from pre-season alone, especially given Neil Lennon has confirmed that the club have been in talks to hand the Frenchman a new contract. Lennon had also hailed the progress that Edouard has made during his time at Parkhead so far.
So that is a positive sign about the Frenchman’s future and shows that Celtic fans still have every reason to remain positive about the striker.
