Many Celtic fans have been reacting to a video involving Hatem Abd Elhamed that emerged on social media recently.
The Celtic Twitter account recently relayed this video of the Israeli defender scoring a goal in training. The tweet described the goal as ‘spectacular’.
This video caught the attention of many Celtic fans. However, the majority were focused on the goalkeeping in the video, with Fraser Forster on the minds of these fans.
Frazer Forster would’ve saved that

Elhamed had joined Celtic in the summer of 2019 from Israeli club Hapoel Beer Sheva. He had arrived for a fee of £1.62m (via Transfermarkt).
Apart from the fans above, some other Celtic fans also had positive words to say for Elhamed and they made their admiration very clear indeed.
A love the wee man but elhamded is first choice rb

The most recent campaign saw Elhamed make 14 appearances in all competitions for the Bhoys. Apart from playing at centre-back, he also played at right-back for Neil Lennon’s side. He made five Premiership appearances, with three of them being starts (via Transfermarkt).
He evidently has versatility as a strength and at 29, he offers some valuable experience at the back as well. Celtic fans can only hope that the goal in training is a good omen and Elhamed becomes an important part of the team next season.
Meanwhile, the goalkeeper situation at Celtic is sure to be on the fans’ minds following negotiations to bring Forster back to Parkhead permanently have reportedly fallen flat, and upon the release of this video, it seems the goalkeeping on show has done little to allay supporters’ concerns.
