Many Celtic fans have been fuming at a video involving Odsonne Edouard that recently emerged on social media.
CelticLisboa recently shared a video and it involved Edouard scoring in the club’s recent pre-season friendly against Nice. While the Frenchman had scored in the game, the goal was chalked off after a VAR check.
This video of the goal caught the attention of many Celtic fans and they made their opinion clear about the VAR decision. They believe that the goal should have stood and Edouard wasn’t offside.

While Edouard’s goal was disallowed, the Hoops did score through Patryk Klimala later in the game. The Pole’s goal helped the Bhoys pick up a 1-1 draw on the day. Kasper Dolberg had scored earlier for Nice (via Daily Record).
Despite the result, some more Hoops fans weren’t pleased with the decision to disallow Edouard’s goal.

The decision to rule Edouard’s goal out was a debatable one and Celtic fans are right to be talking about it. They should understand that the result wasn’t exactly an underwhelming one for the Bhoys as this was their first game in around 131 days.
The purpose of these pre-season friendlies is to help players get their fitness back on track. Another positive for the Bhoys is that Klimala scored a goal and youngsters like Ewan Henderson and Karamoko Dembele got some minutes as well.
So Celtic fans should move on from the result and shift their focus to the next game.
