Many Celtic fans have been talking about Odsonne Edouard following the club’s recent 2-0 win over Ross County in a pre-season friendly game.
The Hoops picked up a 2-0 win in the recent friendly at Parkhead. Mohamed Elyounoussi was on the scoresheet, while Coll Donaldson scored an own goal early on in the game to ensure the Hoops won comfortably (via Sky Sports).
After the game, the Celtic Twitter account posted the result and said that it was a ‘good pre-season test’ for the players. Many Celtic fans flocked to this post and began talking about Edouard and how his performance in the game was concerning.
Starting to get a horrible feeling something is up with Eddy, he’s looked a shadow of himself in pre season and could be me but he just looks so uninterested for some reason, he’s even standing watching opponents with the ball 2 feet from him and just letting them walk past. ?

Not just you.

Do you think Edouard is looking to leave Celtic?
Yes, he is
No, he wants to stay
That’s why griff is so important. I can’t see any goals from bayo and kilmara, just look at wiki for their stats. Desperately need a striker, gk, left back and central defender.

A couple of fans seem to think that Edouard didn’t look interested and they fear if that is a bad sign for the Hoops or not. One fan even stated that Edouard played as if he ‘didn’t care’ about his performance.
Some other Celtic fans also issued their concerns about the Frenchman’s showing.
good win but you could see the lack of intensity, especially in Edouards body language / hope Taylor is not out for too long / not panic mode yet but signings are essential starting this week (atleast 5) ? https://t.co/5ECjmU7UDU

Another good run out. Few worries with some knocks, maybe the board the actually find some transfers ????. Hopefully eddy ups his game soon

There is clearly concern amongst Celtic fans about Edouard not playing well in the game.
Considering that the Frenchman has been linked with moves to the likes of Arsenal, Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and Leicester City, it is easy to see why fans may be concerned. Neil Lennon has already confirmed that the club is in talks to hand Edouard a new contract, so that must come as good news for Celtic fans.
The 22-year-old had scored as many as 27 goals in all competitions last season and had won the club’s Player of the Year award. It shows that he is a valuable player for the Hoops and Celtic fans can only hope that he stays at Parkhead.
