Celtic fans on Twitter have been criticising Hoops defender Kristoffer Ajer after their 4-0 pre-season defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.
This comes after Neil Lennon’s side took on the French champions in a pre-season clash at the Parc des Princes in which they fell to a disappointing 4-0 defeat.
After the match had ended, many Celtic fans took themselves to Twitter to share their frustrations with Ajer’s performance in the loss.
Here’s a sample of Celtic fans slamming the defender:
If we get 25 million for Ajer it’s some business, guys got so many flaws in his game when he’s asked not to mark an spl type player, markings abysmal and goes to ground everytime a balls pulled an inch away from him.

The 22-year-old, who is currently valued at £3.6 million according to Transfermarkt, first signed to the Scottish club back in the 2016 summer transfer window from IK Start for a fee of £540k.
Been saying it for ages – @CelticFC need an upgrade on Ajer as he gets found out too often against the foreign teams.#PSGCEL

Since then, the Norwegian has gone on to make a total of 129 appearances for the senior side, in which he has managed to score five goals and provide three assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).
Fed up of folk rating Ajer tbh. Sell, sell, sell.

Was Ajer Celtic's worst player against PSG?
Yes
No
Someone tell Ajer the offside rule.

GlasgowLive gave Ajer a match rating of 5/10, the joint-lowest of any Celtic player on the day. Summarising his performance, they claimed of Ajer: “Didn’t quite get to grips with the movement of the Paris attackers, and gave the ball away a few times in his own area. Will need to be sharper should Celtic qualify for the Champions League group stages.”
Yep. For such a physically imposing man, Ajer is weak in the tackle and in the air. Repeat ballwatcher also.

Now that Celtic have fallen to this defeat at the hands of PSG, Ajer’s performance in the match sparked a big reaction, with many Celtic fans sharing their thoughts on the defender.
Big Ajer trying to get lower his valuation ?

It’s sad to see so many Celtic fans sharing their criticisms of Ajer and his display in the defeat against the French giants. At least this match was only a pre-season friendly, but looking at the reactions his performance has gathered on Twitter, Ajer should now be focusing on improving for the weeks ahead and the start of the new Scottish Premiership season.
