Fans of Celtic have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that contain quotes made by John Barnes, who has stated that the Hoops should make an effort to sign Joe Hart this summer.
As per reports in the Daily Record, Barnes told BonusCodeBets: “I think Joe Hart going to Celtic would be a great move for him and for the club. Going up to Scotland, where he won’t come under much pressure whilst playing for Celtic, will be a good move for him and I am sure is somewhere that he could do well at.”
In reaction to his comments, which were relayed on Twitter by Daily Record Sport, fans of the club flocked to have their say on the matter, with many suggesting that former Hoops boss Barnes doesn’t know what he is talking about.

With Hart – who is currently without a club – struggling for game time this season at his most recent club Burnley, it would seem that these Celtic fans have taken offence to Barnes’ comments that Hart ‘won’t come under much pressure whilst playing for Celtic’.

As such, it would appear that many of the Celtic fans are not overly appreciative of the comments of Barnes, many of whom pointed out that his comments highlight how uneducated the English are regarding Scottish football.
