To start this quiz on Mark Noble with a tough one, in what year did the midfielder make his league debut for the Hammers?

The piece claims that the Hammers are looking for a striker and Morelos is one of their targets, with the Colombian keen to test himself in a top European league if Rangers’ asking price is met.

The report states that the Gers had wanted £20m before the viral pandemic, but that has now dropped to around £12m.

Interestingly, it’s believed that the east London club are ready to battle Everton and leading European clubs for the signature of the 24-year-old striker this summer.

TIF Thoughts…

Morelos has scored 77 goals for Rangers since he joined them in 2017.

In the 2019/20 season, he has managed to grab himself 29 goals – six of them coming in the Europa League group stages, so he has proved that he can score against decent European sides.

Transfermarkt values Morelos at £10.8m – a little bit under Rangers’ asking price, and if the Hammers stay up, it might be worth their time to sign Morelos.

This season, Michail Antonio and Sebastien Haller are West Ham’s top Premier League goalscorers with just eight and seven respectively, while as a team, the Hammers have scored 44 goals this season.

So, a move for Morelos may not cost much, and though he has not proved himself in a top European league as yet, his Europa League experience might stand him in good stead for a spell in the Premier League.

If West Ham do stay up, then it will be interesting to see if they do make a move for Morelos or decide to look at someone else.
