On the latest episode of the Last Word On Spurs podcast, Ricky Sacks, Lee McQueen, Jamie Brown and Daniel Merriman have been discussing the latest goings-on at Tottenham Hotspur and looking ahead to the final game of the season against Crystal Palace.

One topic of conversation on the recent episode, which was titled ‘Finishing Strong‘, was Harry Kane and his form ahead of the season finale at Selhurst Park. The England captain has hit six goals since the Premier League restart, taking his Premier League tally for the season to 17 (per WhoScored).

How well can you remember Spurs' season so far? - Who did Spurs beat in the opening fixture?

Here’s what McQueen had to say about the 26-year-old’s form on the recent podcast:

“17 goals in an injury-ravaged season is absolutely ridiculous. The guy is on fire, his power, his pace. He’s number 10, he’s number nine. The guy’s outrageous and he’s on absolute fire so that should worry Crystal Palace, for sure.”

TIF Thoughts…

Considering Roy Hodgson’s side have now lost seven games on the trot, you can see why McQueen is backing Kane to continue his recent strong form on Sunday. Despite missing a significant chunk of the season through his hamstring injury, the Spurs academy graduate currently has just six fewer goals than the league’s top scorer, Jamie Vardy (per BBC).

The England international will no doubt be hoping to finish the season with a bang on Sunday, and will surely be confident of helping the Lilywhites to a much better Premier League season in the 2020/21 campaign. The focus will be on Sunday however, with a place in the Europa League potentially on the line for Mourinho’s side.
