Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the reported news that Spurs are keen on signing a goalkeeper this summer.

According to the Daily Mail (via Hotspur Related), Spurs are looking to sign a shot-stopper in the summer transfer window, with the report claiming that they are especially keen due to Spurs captain Hugo Lloris entering the final 12 months of his contract. However, the Frenchman is actually contracted until 2022 (per Transfermarkt), which perhaps undermines the report somewhat.

It also suggests that the north London club are considering a move for Bournemouth ‘keeper Aaron Ramsdale should the Cherries be relegated this season. Watford’s Ben Foster and Fulham’s Marcus Bettinelli are also listed as potential targets. Spurs are set to lose their third-choice goalkeeper Michel Vorm, with the former Swansea man expected to be released following Spurs’ final game of the season this weekend, so perhaps these reported targets could come in to replace the Dutchman.

Who would you rather have as a back up to Lloris?

Reaction from Spurs fans to the reported news on Spurs’ potential goalkeeping options in the summer window can be seen in the tweets below.

Some Spurs fans seem as if they would be relatively happy with the signing of Ramsdale.

Other Spurs fans seem disappointed with all of the reported options, with some fans suggesting that Paulo Gazzaniga is better than them all.

Overall, it seems as if a lot of Spurs fans are not keen on the likes of Foster and Bettinelli, but some would welcome the signing of Ramsdale to provide cover for and potentially succeed Lloris in the Tottenham goal.
