Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the news that Dele Alli will not be fit to face Leicester City at the weekend.
The club’s official Twitter account relayed the news from Jose Mourinho’s press conference that the former MK Dons man won’t be available to face Brendan Rodgers’ side on Sunday.
This is perhaps due to the hamstring injury that has ruled him out of recent games, and therefore it seems fair to suggest that the 24-year-old’s Premier League season may have come to an end, with Spurs’ final fixture against Crystal Palace the following Sunday; it would perhaps be unwise to risk the England international unless he is back to full fitness.
So far this season, the midfielder has contributed eight goals and four assists in 24 appearances in the top-flight, which has seen him average a solid, if uninspiring, 6.89 rating (per WhoScored). The midfielder has struggled in recent campaigns to replicate the superb form that he showed in his first couple of seasons with the club, but perhaps next season under Mourinho we could see him return to his best.
Is Alli's time with Spurs coming to an end?

I’m actually starting to think his days at spurs are coming to an end,I blame Southgate he didn’t take him off when slightly injured with England & hasn’t been same player hopefully he comes back strong.

I love Dele and he’s still hugely underrated by many. But for me he’s too injury prone these days.
We’re not lacking in midfield so if funds are tight then sell him now while he’s still worth decent money and invest it in the areas where we’re lacking.

Some Spurs fans suggested that now may be the right time to cash in on the midfielder.
Definitely time to sell and let him start fresh somewhere else

If he carries on playing the way he is, id happily take the transfer fee to buy new fullbacks and him never be available again

One Spurs fan even suggested that they are a better team without Alli in the side, so it’s ‘advantage Tottenham’ against Leicester.
Advantage Tottenham

Overall, it seems as if a lot of Spurs fans aren’t too disappointed that Alli will miss the game against Leicester, with many suggesting that his time with the club may soon be coming to an end.
