How well do you remember Heung-Min Son's time with Spurs? - The Lilywhites signed Son from which Bundesliga side?

Robertson spent a bit of time on other things but was happy to talk about Spurs and what the future holds for them following their derby victory over Arsenal last weekend.

Here is what he had to say about the whole situation at Tottenham:

“I think the atmosphere around Spurs is still not good, and I think [Jose] Mourinho will do well to get that group of players to perform even to that level [against Arsenal] on a consistent basis or to be happy to perform in such a reactive team.

“They’ve been playing a certain style of football for so many years under [Mauricio] Pochettino, he’s not going to have a lot of money to spend on that squad, so I don’t think the future is particularly good for Spurs.”

It seems that Robertson does not think that things will improve under Mourinho and feels that he won’t have much money to spend in the transfer market.

Do you worry for Tottenham next season?

TIF Thoughts…

It has been reported that Mourinho will have his business restricted to swap deals and free transfers, so Robertson might be right about the lack of money that Tottenham will have this summer.

He also seems to think that a team that were transformed under Pochettino will not be able to play the way that Mourinho likes his teams to play.

So, Robertson is predicting problems for Tottenham, but since the restart, Spurs have only lost one game.

While they drew 0-0 with Bournemouth, but they did beat Arsenal, and maybe things won’t be that bad for Tottenham, but it will be interesting to see what they have to spend in the transfer market and what Mourinho can do with the squad next season.
