Supporters of Tottenham Hotspur have been reacting to quotes from Erik Lamela which emerged on social media.
On Thursday, The Spurs Web shared some quotes from the club’s Argentine attacker in which he discussed his temperament and giving away fouls.
The quotes read: “Too many times it’s not even a foul, but they are giving fouls. I get angry sometimes. But it’s not something I’m trying to do. It’s just the way I train, and how I play.”
These had originally been posted by The Guardian, however, were slighted misquoted when The Spurs Web relayed them to Twitter.
Lots of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium faithful flocked to these quotes, though, to air their thoughts.

As stated in The Guardian’s article, at the time of writing no player in the Premier League had committed fouls at a higher rate than the Argentine since the league’s restart.
However, across the season as a whole, the 28-year-old attacker, who is valued at £14.4 million (Transfermarkt), has only given away the joint-fifth-most fouls per league match (1.2) in Spurs’ squad (per WhoScored).

As can be seen in these responses from Tottenham fans, it is clear to see that Lamela divides opinion amongst them.
