Starting with an easy one, against which club did Shelvey make his Newcastle debut?

During the episode, Wraith read out a comment from someone who said that they were confident the proposed £300 million takeover of the club was still going to happen.

In response to this, Wraith shared his views on the matter, agreeing with the fan’s opinion due to the events that have taken place to this point.

He said: “I do believe that it’s still on. Newcastle have done the deal with PCP, and from my perspective, it’s the fit and proper person tests. If, as the press have reported, that there’s been some query, then that isn’t a bad thing as long as PCP, PIF, the Reubens have got the answer to that query.

“You would imagine the fact that Amanda Staveley has put £17 million up and given it to Mike Ashley would mean that they have done their due diligence and they’ve done their homework before they’ve done this bid. If they haven’t, then more fool them, but I would imagine that they’ve done it.”

Are you confident the takeover will eventually go through ?

It was reported back in May that the takeover of the club would be resolved within a week after the thorough inspection from the Premier League for the Owners’ and Directors’ test was understood to be complete.

However, there still hasn’t been any official announcement or indication that the takeover will be finalised yet.

TIF Thoughts…

It’s good to hear that Wraith is still confident that this proposed takeover will go through even though it has been a while since the bid was put through to the Premier League for their appropriate checks.

From his comments on the show, Wraith has a lot of faith in Staveley, PCP, PIF and the Rueben brothers that they have been completely open and transparent with any questions regarding the takeover.
