Fans of Tottenham have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that claim AS Monaco are interested in Spurs right-back, Serge Aurier.
According to the reports from Sky Sports News, the Ligue 1 side are interested in bringing the defender to the club this summer, with Monaco’s head of recruitment Paul Mitchell – formerly an employee of Spurs – said to be keen on the Ivory Coast international.
Despite being Tottenham’s first-choice right-back for the majority of this season, the defender’s off-field actions have come under scrutiny this term, particularly after he broke lockdown measures on three separate occasions.
After the news of Monaco’s interest was relayed on Twitter by Daily Hotspur, fans of the club flocked to have their say on the matter, with many suggesting that they would love to see the defender leave the club.

Since arriving at Spurs from PSG for a fee of £22.5 million back in 2017, the right-back has so far gone on to make 77 appearances for the club, scoring six goals and providing 14 assists. Meanwhile, so far this season, Aurier has impressed, scoring one goal and providing five assists over his 27 Premier League appearances, averaging a WhoScored match rating of 7.16 – prior to the club’s fixture against Sheffield United this evening.
In comparison to the previous fans, it would seem that some Tottenham fans would rather the club not sell Aurier.

As such, it would seem that these Spurs fans are relatively split on whether or not they would like to see Aurier leave the club this summer.
Would you sell Aurier this summer?
Yes
No
However, whether or not Monaco’s reported interest turns into a concrete offer remains to be seen, or, in fact, whether or not Spurs would be willing to sell the £14.4 million-rated player.
