Supporters of Tottenham Hotspur have been swooning over a club announcement which revealed that Japhet Tanganga had signed a new contract with the club.
On Monday, it was revealed by Spurs that the young defender had put pen to paper on a new deal at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (per Tottenham Hotspur).
The Hackney-born academy product’s new deal has tied down his long-term future to the club as it will run until 2025.
Lots of Spurs fans then flocked to the news once it was shared to social media on the club’s official Twitter account.

Tanganga made his first-team debut for the club back in September, when he featured for 66 minutes in the defeat against Colchester United in the Carabao Cup (per Transfermarkt).

Following on from his debut in the Carabao Cup, the defender went on to make six appearances in the Premier League for Jose Mourinho’s outfit (per WhoScored).
Over those appearances, the 21-year-old impressed, as he delivered a solid 7.00/10 average rating which made him the club’s fourth-best performer in the league.
