In the latest video on his YouTube channel, Football.london journalist Alasdair Gold has been discussing the latest goings-on at Tottenham Hotspur and looking ahead to their game against Everton on Monday night.

One topic of conversation in the video was Dele Alli and his potential injury concerns ahead of the clash with Carlo Ancelotti’s side. Jose Mourinho confirmed last week that the former MK Dons man had injured his hamstring in training, but was still hopeful that the 24-year-old would be fit for their next fixture.

How well can you remember Spurs' season so far? - Who did Spurs beat in the opening fixture?

Gold then relayed this update and gave some more detail on the England international’s injury concerns, saying:

“He also said, Dele Alli [suffered a] hamstring problem in training. His gut feeling [is] that he should be okay for Everton, but obviously the medical staff are being very careful with him because of his history with hamstring problems, it’s not been great.”

TIF Thoughts…

Alli has been an influential player in Jose Mourinho’s side so far this season, as he is Spurs’ third-top scorer behind Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son in the Premier League. Although he has failed to impress in his two performances since the restart, posting match ratings of 6.22 and 5.95/10 against West Ham United and Sheffield United respectively, his goal-scoring threat from midfield could be a miss against Everton on Monday night if he isn’t fit to play.

Do you think Alli will be fit to face Everton?

No

Considering Spurs registered just two shots on target in their last game against the Blades, you can certainly argue that the Lilywhites are in need of a creative influence such as Alli, with the midfielder having contributed 55 assists in all competitions during his time with the north London club, so it will be interesting to see if he features against the Toffees this evening.
