Some Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to react to a report linking the Whites with a move for Celtic attacker Odsonne Edouard.

According to the Daily Mirror, Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa is hopeful of signing a new centre-forward in the upcoming summer transfer window and the 22-year-old Celtic man, who is currently valued at £12.15m according to Transfermarkt, is said to be ‘high up on his list of targets,’ should his Leeds side secure promotion to England’s top flight for next season.

After one Whites supporter, @DarylRS29, shared this report on Twitter, plenty of Leeds fans replied to his tweet to share their thoughts on this alleged news.

A lot of the Leeds supporters who replied to this post shared some excitement over this news, with one Whites fan declaring that they believe Edouard “could be a very good signing.”

Nice easy one to start off with, from which club did Leeds sign Hernandez?

Do Leeds have a chance of signing Edouard?

One Leeds fan revealed that they don’t believe that the Whites will have too much trouble luring Edouard to Elland Road should the current Championship leaders secure promotion to the Premier League for next season.

However, other Leeds fans were less optimistic about this report, with some sharing that they don’t think the Whites have got much of a chance of securing Edouard’s signature.

As per Manuel Veth, while Leeds opted not to extend the loan of Jean-Kevin Augustin, RB Leipzig are still adamant that the Whites “have to buy” the attacker should they earn promotion to England’s top-flight for next season.

With that in mind, it may be difficult to see Leeds making a move for the Celtic forward if they still have to pay a reported €21m (£18.99m) for the RB Leipzig attacker.
