Lee Ryder has been speaking on the latest episode of the Everything is Black and White podcast and discussed the Toon’s 0-0 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion as well as the proposed takeover by Amanda Staveley’s Saudi-backed consortium.

Starting with an easy one, against which club did Shelvey make his Newcastle debut?

The Chronicle reporter went into a little bit of detail on the takeover and seemingly asked the Premier League to make a decision to the long-running issue.

Here is what he said when asked by host Sean McCormick about the situation that continues to drag on well into the summer months:

“I mean the takeover limbo that you’re talking of, that can only be really decided by the Premier League.

“They’ve got to process this decision now, one way or the other.”

So, it seems as if Ryder is fed up with the takeover looming over Newcastle, and he is now calling for the PL to decide on this takeover.

Do you also just want a decision from the PL now?

Yes, no matter what it is

No, I want them to take their time

TIF Thoughts…

Newcastle have one final game of the season to play as they welcome Liverpool to St James’ Park, and then the following day, the transfer window opens.

If things stay as they are, the Toon will not know who their owners are going forward, and the club will be in limbo as the Premier League continues to look over Staveley’s Saudi-backed bid.

There was a report that the Premier League was unlikely to pass the takeover, though if that were the case, it begs the question why the league is not simply rejecting the deal to allow the Toon to move on.

Instead, they still have the deal, even though the consortium answered all of the Premier League’s questions.

So, as the transfer window approaches, Newcastle are still crying out for a decision.
