A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a post from NUFC 360, which shares an article from The Chronicle relaying ‘a huge fresh claim from the Middle East’ suggesting the bid to take over the club is in jeopardy.
The claim appears to have stemmed from BeIN Sports anchor Richard Keys, who claimed that the Premier League cannot let the Saudi-backed deal through and that it has now stalled.
Interestingly, an EPL official insisted that they would not wade into the public debate.
So, with a Premier League official opting not to comment on this latest development, this drew the attention of these Toon fans, who think that the takeover is now off.
takeovers already been rejected, business as usual

It was rejected weeks ago. The PL are under no obligation to tell anyone. It’ll fizzle over the close season like Bin Zayed last year. Ashley/Bruce going nowhere fast.

The deal in question led by Amanda Staveley has been with the Premier League since April, but as of yet, there has been no decision from them on the takeover.
Do you believe this?
No
Yes
The transfer window is now open, and a date for the beginning of next season is set, but the PL still are looking at the deal.
However, despite this, these Toon fans are just bored of the whole process and some have slammed the Premier League.
So bored now! Sanction the deal or simply put us out of our misery and let us move on ?

We are powerless to do anything. We won’t find out any information as to why it is held up. Is it @premierleague is it PIF there must be something as if it was all ok we would know by now. #powerless. No matter how much we assume they won’t tell us a thing.

This is ridiculous. Every day we’re being told both “it’s imminent” and “it’s dead”. Not complaining about @NUFC360 but how are we getting such extreme differences in reporting?

Gutless leader and organisation should be investigated @premierleague #NUFCTakeover #NUFC #Mastersoutnow https://t.co/NmAEzQVot3

Newcastle are in limbo, and though Steve Bruce has said the Toon would crack on with trying to sign players, their budget has been slashed to £35m plus player sales.
The Toon will just have to keep waiting for the Premier League, but we are nearly in August, and they have still not decided yes or no, which just seems ridiculous.
Keys’ claim is also the total opposite of what he said two weeks ago, so it remains to be seen what actually happens with this takeover.
