Starting with an easy one, against which club did Shelvey make his Newcastle debut?

Mourinho claimed that he hoped the proposed takeover would make the Toon a bigger and better club and that because of his connection with Sir Bobby Robson, he has an indirect relationship with Newcastle.

This has drawn the attention of many Toon fans, who feel that the 57-year-old wants the Newcastle job, and most would be happy to have him.

Newcastle are in the middle of a takeover led by Amanda Staveley and backed up by a Saudi Arabian consortium that would see the Toon have some major wealth.

Would you take Mourinho at Newcastle if the takeover happens?

There have been rumours linking Rafael Benitez with a return to Tyneside, as well as Mauricio Pochettino possibly taking the Newcastle job if this takeover goes through.

However, it seems that some of these Newcastle fans would like Mourinho.

Others, though, feel that he is no longer good enough.

The Portuguese has won 33 trophies throughout his coaching career, and considering the Toon have not won a major trophy since the 1960s, it is clear why some of these Newcastle fans would like him at St. James’ Park.

However, if he were going to become the manager for the Toon, then he would probably have to end his record heading into tonight’s clash of having never won a league game at St. James’ Park.

Mourinho, though, has mostly spoken highly of Newcastle and a manager who has won as much as he has probably can’t be ignored, so if the takeover happens, could we see Mourinho swap Spurs for the Toon?

It will be interesting to see what happens if the Premier League approves the takeover.
