A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a post from George Caulkin after one fan questioned him over something he had previously said about the takeover of Newcastle.
Caulkin claimed that Amanda Staveley’s consortium had stopped answering questions from the Premier League last week.
However, he has now stated that the PL have come back with more as this whole process drags on.
This has annoyed these Toon fans who have ripped into the Premier League.
Are you annoyed with the Premier League?
Yes, this is a joke now
No, they have to make sure everything is done correctly
At what point does it become wilful disruption and stalling?

The whole thing just reeks of incompetence

More? How many can they ask?

The deal for Staveley’s Saudi-backed takeover of the Toon was agreed with Mike Ashley in April, and a deposit was paid to him.
However, we are now in July, and still nothing has happened. This has led to a petition from fans, the Toon’s squad asking for clarity, and even Steve Bruce appears to be becoming frustrated with the whole thing.
Many Newcastle fans continued to express their anger at the Premier League in the replies to Caulkin’s tweet.
It just doesn’t seem to end, it’s taking far too long imo. surely if there was something to deny it, it would have been found already, feels like they are searching for an excuse rather than sticking to what the test actually is.

Do you think it’s the Premier league delaying it till the buyers say they’ve had enough and walk away?

The @premierleague are taking liberties now, it feels like they are doing this on purpose

I think Masters and the Premier League have major questions to answer after this. The level of incompetence and disregard for the fans of our club is shocking

It was hoped that the Premier League would reach a decision on this takeover last week after Saudi Arabia announced that they were cracking down on piracy.
Also, apparently, the UK government had leaned on the top flight and swayed them into accepting this takeover.
However, nothing has happened and we have now gone on into another week of this saga.
Richard Masters faced a selection of MPs and told them he hoped to have a conclusion to this shortly.
Hopefully, he sticks to his word and brings this saga to an end sooner rather than later.
