A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a post from NUFC 360, which includes a link to a piece in The Chronicle about the Toon’s transfer plans for the next window.
The piece claims that Steve Bruce will hand over his list of targets and discussions regarding improving the squad have begun, and it is claimed that despite the ongoing takeover, there is a budget in place.
The report also has comments from Steve Bruce on Danny Rose, Nabil Bentaleb, and Valentino Lazaro, and he claims that Newcastle will talk with the parent clubs of all three to try and sort out deals for each.
This has drawn a reaction from these Toon fans who don’t seem too excited by the club’s potential transfer plans.
Do these transfer plans excite you?
No, we will sign nobody
Yes, I am sure Bruce has some good players lined up
”the Magpies have a budget in place under the current regime and plans have started on recruitment.”
I’ll try not get overexcited as we dip into the footballing equivalent of the Sports Direct bargain bin whilst been told how splendid Ashley is and how we haven’t stagnated ?

Considering Newcastle are in the middle of an ongoing takeover attempt by Amanda Staveley’s Saudi-backed consortium, some major wealth could back them if the deal goes through.
However, with the transfer window fast approaching, it seems sensible that the Toon are making plans.
The club though, is in limbo, and considering the Premier League have had this deal since April, it is now time that they decide or they risk damaging one of their clubs ahead of next year.
These Toon fans certainly seem to have given up on the takeover and are preparing for another year of Mike Ashley in charge.
This has got to be the last but end of this takeover… this week prem league need to reject this so we can move on

Good! Let’s start planning for next season as if there is no takeover. And if it happens it happens. It’s the only judicious way to move forward.

Because the takeover isn’t happening, another exhilarating season to look forward too

It is good that Newcastle are planning for the transfer window, but surely the Premier League needs to reach a decision on this takeover before the transfer window starts, so the Toon actually know who their owner is and can prepare accordingly.
