Fans of Newcastle United have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which Allan Saint-Maximin posts an image of himself in the club’s new 2020/21 home shirt.

Saint-Maximin, who has found himself as somewhat of a fan-favourite at St James’ Park this season, posted the image of himself, which appears to be a cartoon-style drawing rather than an actual photograph, in Newcastle’s new home shirt for next season on Twitter, shortly after the kit was revealed by the club on Thursday.

Since moving to Newcastle from OGC Nice last summer in what was a £16.20 million deal, Saint-Maximin has gone on to wow fans of the club with his performances, scoring three goals and providing four assists over his 25 Premier League appearances, averaging a WhoScored match rating of 7.34 – ranking him as the club’s best performer by quite a considerable distance this season, and also as the 12th best player in the Premier League.

Do you believe Allan Saint-Maximin will still be a Newcastle player next season?

However, as a result of his impressive performances, there have been rumours of interest from some of the Premier League big boys, such as Tottenham Hotspur, and it would appear that many of the Newcastle fans are concerned about the player’s future at their club.

As such, it would appear that these Newcastle fans, generally, do indeed like the look of the new Newcastle shirt, however, it would seem they will like it better if Saint-Maximin is wearing it next season.
