A lot of Newcastle United fans have responded to a tweet from NUFC 360, which has relayed information from the Daily Mirror around the Newcastle takeover.
The piece reveals what Mike Ashley’s position is regarding the takeover.
Ashley has claimed that he wants to sell the club and has agreed a deal to sell Newcastle to Amanda Staveley, but is now waiting for the Premier League.
Many Newcastle fans have mocked this because the deal was agreed with Ashley in April, and has presumably been waiting since then, so to them, this is not news.

The deal for Staveley’s consortium to take Newcastle from Ashley has been going through the Premier League’s checks, but it seems as if even the Toon’s players have grown restless of the situation, as has Steve Bruce.
However, many Newcastle fans have also had enough, and have resorted to starting a petition to get the PL to announce their decision.
Many Toon fans continued to mock this story from the Mirror.

Premier League chief executive Richard Masters confirmed that he hoped a decision would arrive ‘shortly’, but it appears that the weeks of waiting have got to some, including The Telegraph’s Luke Edwards, who released a powerful piece demanding a decision from the PL.
It now seems that the players, the fans, Bruce and some reporters are sick of this takeover.
Hopefully, the Premier League will make a decision soon because Newcastle are currently in limbo and cannot plan for next season.
It remains to be seen what the authorities decide to do or if any decision is close.
