Many Newcastle United supporters have flocked to Valentino Lazaro’s recent Twitter post. The Austrian international is currently on loan at St. James’ Park from the Serie A giants Inter Milan and the two clubs recently agreed to extend his stay until the end of the season.

According to Transfermarkt.co.uk, Steve Bruce’s side has the option to sign the 24-year-old on a permanent deal this summer should they wish to but it appears the Magpies are yet to make a decision on the player’s future.

In his post, the loan man shared an image of himself in action during the recent 2-2 draw with West Ham United in which the Toon came from behind twice to earn a point. Here is how some of the fans have responded.

It’s clear from the above responses that these supporters have been impressed by what they have seen from Lazaro and as a result, they’re calling for him to start. However, one fan took the opportunity to comment on what they believe to be negative tactics applied by Steve Bruce.

Lazaro has made 10 appearances for Newcastle United since he arrived at the club in January and so far, he has contributed two goals, the most recent of which came in the away victory at Bournemouth. According to Transfermarkt.co.uk, the player is currently valued at £13.5m but it remains to be seen whether the Premier League club are interested in activating that option to buy inserted into Lazaro’s contract.
