Newcastle United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest social media post from Labour MP Kate Osborne.

This comes after Osborne shared a post on her official Twitter page that contained an article from the Daily Mirror revealing how Osborne has sent a letter that contained an ultimatum to the Premier League for them to make a decision on the proposed £300 million takeover of the club.

Starting with an easy one, against which club did Shelvey make his Newcastle debut?

In her post, Osborne wrote in the caption that many of her constituents have contacted her regarding the takeover.

She said that “dedicated fans have been put through an unnecessary rollercoaster which is causing mental anguish” to some people in communities that she represents.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Newcastle fans who were quick to share their responses to this post from the politician.

Here’s a sample of Newcastle fans responding to the post:

Back in April, it was reported that the takeover is “nearing completion after the Saudi-backed consortium paid a deposit and exchanged contracts with club owner Mike Ashley” with the Premier League’s Owners’ and Directors’ test all that stood in the way (per Sky Sports).

Are you confident the Premier League will approve the takeover?

Now that Osborne has shared this post on her Twitter page urging the Premier League to share some sort of time indication as to when they will come to a decision on the takeover, this has sparked a big reaction on Twitter with many Toon fans sharing their messages to the politician.

It’s good that Osborne has written a letter to the Premier League so that they may be able to shed some light on how long it will take until a decision is made regarding the takeover.

Unfortunately for these Newcastle fans, until there is any sort of announcement from the Premier League, they will need to continue waiting until that happens.
