2018/19 season quiz: How many points did Jurgen Klopp's side accumulate in the Premier League?

On the topic of Elliott and his new contract at the club, Addison shared his thoughts on the winger.

He said: “He’s obviously hoping for more chances to pick up a Premier League medal before the end of the season. But the main thing for him is that he just continues his development, I think.

“He chose Liverpool ahead of a few other clubs and obviously has decided not just because he’s a Liverpool fan, but it’s, of course, the best place for him to develop as well.

“Jurgen Klopp admitted that they sheltered him so far and kept him as much out of the limelight as possible. But you do wonder how long that is going to be the case, because, obviously now signed his first professional contract, and I say, we’re going to see a fair bit of him over the next few months and the more you see of him, the harder it is to contain that excitement because he is such a huge talent. Just from speaking to people around him and people who know him, I think there’s no doubt that he’s got his feet on the ground and he’s heading in the right direction.

“It’s certainly an exciting time for Harvey Elliott and for Liverpool fans as well, because there’s no doubt about it, he’s only just 17 and he looks like a seasoned Premier League professional.

“He’s going to be an absolute superstar I think, and fingers crossed he stays injury-free over the next couple of seasons, which will be crucial for his development.”

The fact that Elliott has signed his contract to spend the next three years at Anfield just goes to show that he is dedicated to growing at the club and developing as a player for the future.
