2018/19 season quiz: How many points did Jurgen Klopp's side accumulate in the Premier League?

After it was recently reported that Sancho would prefer a move to Liverpool ahead of Manchester United this summer, Addison shared his thoughts on this news.

He said: “I suppose it makes sense, because Liverpool are in a much better position at the moment, they’re much more likely to win trophies, certainly the major ones in the Premier League and the Champions League.

He also added:

“If Jadon Sancho could stay for one more year at Borussia Dortmund, I’m sure Liverpool potentially could be interested next season, finances permitting, but even then it would be a record signing for Liverpool to make, it would be a huge investment even in a normal season so, yes certainly one to keep an eye on.”

Sancho, who is now valued at £105.3 million (as per Transfermarkt), signed to the Bundesliga club from Manchester City back in 2017 for a fee of £7.05 million.

Since he arrived in Germany, Sancho has gone on to score 34 goals and provide 43 assists in just 99 total appearances for the club (per Transfermarkt).

TIF Thoughts…

Looking at how impressive Sancho has been since he joined Dortmund in terms of his goals and assists record, it’s no surprise that both United and Liverpool have been mentioned in potentially signing the winger this summer.

With Liverpool being the reigning Premier League champions and current Champions League holders, it would indeed make sense that Sancho would prefer a move to the Merseyside club ahead of United.

It will be interesting to see if this reported news on Sancho’s preference will have an impact on whether or not the Reds try and sign the Englishman this summer.
