Liverpool and Scotland left-back Andy Robertson appeared on a recent edition of The Lockdown Tactics, where he declared that he would ‘bite your hand off’ to retire at Anfield.

The 26-year-old joined Liverpool from Hull City in July 2017 for £8.1m. Since moving to Merseyside, the Scotland international has enjoyed plenty of success, earning, among other accolades, a UEFA Champions League winners’ medal and a Premier League winners’ medal.

Furthermore, according to Transfermarkt, Robertson’s market value has skyrocketed since joining Liverpool with the left-back currently valued at £57.6m.

However, it appears as though Robertson isn’t particularly keen on the idea of Liverpool cashing in on his increase in value since joining this season’s Premier League champions, as he revealed that he would ‘bite your hand off’ to retire at his current club during his recent appearance on The Lockdown Tactics.

Robertson said: “I’ve kind of found my home at Liverpool. I love playing at this club, I love being at the highest level and if I could retire at Liverpool, I’d bite your hand off for it now.

“Playing at this club’s amazing. The way we get looked after, the way the fans are – playing at Anfield every second week is incredible. So, in an ideal world, I want to retire here but I know how hard that’s going to be.”

Robertson was part of a Hull City team that suffered relegation from the Premier League in the 2016/17 season before he moved to Liverpool in July 2017.

Considering how much success he has enjoyed since moving to Anfield, it mightn’t be a surprise that the left-back has revealed that he isn’t currently keen on the idea of leaving the Reds, having previously experienced lows during his career such as relegation elsewhere.
