Crystal Palace are keen on bringing Celtic star Odsonne Edouard to the club this summer, according to the Daily Mail

The report claims that the French striker could be available for £25m and that the south London club ‘have an interest’ in the 22-year-old. During the 2019/20 campaign, the 6ft 1in attacker scored 21 goals and provided 12 assists in his 27 Scottish Premiership appearances (as per Transfermarkt.co.uk), with 27 goals and 19 assists in all competitions.

Can you score 20/20 on this Premier League quiz? Starting off easy, who is the top scorer in the Premier League this season?

The Hoops signed the striker from Paris Saint-Germain back in July 2018 in a deal reportedly worth £9.27m and so if they were to receive £25m for him, they would be more than doubling their investment.

Roy Hodgson has been unable to rely on his current crop of attackers to score regularly in the Premier League this season, the club’s top goalscorer Jordan Ayew has only managed nine and behind him in second place is Wilfried Zaha who has scored on just four occasions (via Transfermarkt.co.uk).

Christian Benteke has found top-flight goals hard to come by with a disappointing total of just two and Cenk Tosun, who joined the club on loan in January, returned to Everton in March after suffering a cruciate ligament injury.

TIF Thoughts…

According to Transfermarkt.co.uk, Edouard is currently valued at £13.5m but the report suggests the Scottish champions would be looking for significantly more than that in order to part company with one of their star players.

If the Eagles are indeed interested in bringing the centre-forward to Selhurst Park, they may face competition from the likes of Arsenal who are also said to be keen on the attacker.
